Description

The Sycamore Maple is a species of maple native to central Europe and southwestern Asia. In North America and in the Southern Hemisphere it is often planted as a street tree where it tolerates salt and urban pollution. It is a large tree that reaches 20-35 m at maturity, with a broad, domed crown. It is also planted for timber production; the wood is white with a silky lustre, used for musical instrument making, furniture, and wood flooring. (Source: Wikipedia)
